Based in Charlotte NC, singer/songwriter Trent Thompson brings passion and authenticity in his guitar-based rock. Trent began writing and singing his original music when he was young, growing up in the south and raised in the church, he was surrounded by music, hypocrisy, and a bit of insanity, giving him plenty of fuel for his writing passion. In 2012 he began playing with a local Charlotte band “Reaves”.
Now as a solo artist, Trent pulls from his religious roots and his real life experiences when it comes to writing and holds nothing back. He has Performed at Charlotte’s Speed Street in both 2018 and 2019. He has also performed at Charlotte's Milestone club, Evening Muse, The Neighborhood Theatre, Snug Harbor, Petras, The Underground and The Fillmore.
Trent has opened for artists such as Carver Commodore, Glassjaw, OAR, Harry Hudson, Barnes Courtney and Judah and the Lion.

I grew up in the church, that was my introduction to music…and lets be really clear about this, it was not some little church who could play the hell out of some gospel music and it was not one of these mega churches that dump thousands into their current band. The music was pretty damn bad, but no matter how cheesy it all was, I was hooked.
I am a dreamer. No matter what is going on in my life I am always dreaming of what could be, what will be. And although I am typically the one who will tell you anything is possible, I am always extremely aware of how impractical all of this is.
We all want more out of life. I picture myself with a bigger house and records on the wall…but at the end of the day I have what I need and I am doing what I want So enjoy it, hate it, relax or relate to it. Cry about it, burn it, curse it, rebuke it, let it sink in or turn that shit off. Do what you want with my my music…its not going anywhere.
